Occupational Therapist typically treats patients for activities of daily living (ADL). Treatment focuses on the patient’s ability to bathe, dress and groom, perform homemaking tasks, and prepare light meals. It also addresses seating and positioning needs, adaptive equipment needs, and environmental changes necessary to make the home safe. Occupational Therapist is trained to work with cognitive issues and psychosocial disorders and often identify visual field cuts or distortions presented by patients.
